Uploading your website - Option 1 using WS_FTP
WS_FTP 6 is what we use and you can download it from here: http://www.oldapps.com/download_old_version_WS_FTP.php . It is an old version and is free.
Here is a screenshot of a sample account set-up:
In your hosting set-up email the FTP log on details will be listed like this:
FTP Hostname: as per email
FTP Username: as per email
FTP Password: as per emailN.B: You upload to the httpdocs folder on the server. You can also upload to the error_docs folder.
Profile name can be anything you like; your domain name is ideal to use.
FTP username is User ID in WS_FTP.
WS_FTP with a two-pane design is shown below. The pane on the left displays the files on your computer and the pane on the right displays the files on the remote hosting server.
File transfers are as easy as dragging and dropping files from one pane to the other or by highlighting a file and clicking one of the direction arrows located between the panes.
